  • files on you at doc office

If you never use insurance to get a certain medicine, will it be on your file? I.e. if I order Winstrol from an anti aging clinic and it comes to me with a doc ** on it, some doctors office 4 years from now isnt going to be able to see that i was written a script for winny a few years back right? the only way he would be able to see that, is if I had used insurance to claim the meds?

I would say it's hard to know. If you we're prescribed it by your primary care doc or a doc in your city then most definitely it will be recorded. But if you order it from an anti aging clinic and don't use insurance, then I would say no, it won't show up.

thats not what im worried about. more concerned about my doc knowing I use more than TRT, and having it go on any type of file that my future insurance provider will see.

I have a doctor friend, ER doc though, and I'll ask her as soon as I get my phones fixed.

There is something called doctor patient confidentiality. They take it very serious and you could sue if it is broken. You can tell your doc you snorted coke while injecting heroin and you want him to treat you for an infected injection site from all the drugs and the doc can't tell anyone. The office staff will know but no one outside the office can tell anyone or its illegal. Its called something like the HIPPA act. So if you order winny they won't care if you did. People do much more crazy things like try to forge scripts for narcotics. That is something that can get you jail time.

Not quite, info like that could be shared with an insurance company. Brutal, not sure how mo works, but most states are severely lacking when it comes to records of **'s being intertwined. I work in an ER and only recently are we able to see where the drug seekers have been hospital shopping getting ** pain meds from other er's. you should be ok paying out of pocket

The DEA has an online program to track narcotics that our doctors have access to. It just recently passed the beta testing phase. It is a great way for us to single out the junkies that hospital shop. I have never seen any meds other than narcotics on the list though. Not to say that it doesn't exist it just isn't relevant to us in the ER.

much appreciated. im not breaking the law, just concerned about what insurance and other docs are allowed to find out. my recent doc visit a few weeks back, i was shocked to see what he had in my file, and it wasnt from anything I told anyone (as far as meds were concerned). Shit, almost seems safer for your future to use UGL. less tracking that way. Nothing seems private anymore.
But as far as the HIPPA thing goes, i would think you would have to TELL your doc to NOT write down anything about your heroin use. if you came in saying you had a bad infection from heroin, i garuntee that shit is going in your file, probably even if you tell him not to say anything, or to keep it "off the record".

Yeah. Insurance would know but what i meant is you cant get in legal trouble for telling a doctor you use illegal substances. And that stuff would stay in your record.
