    Thanks, Kiyoshi.

You're done competing for the year, right? Man, it must feel great to be done after SO many shows and dieting that much.

I know you're planning on doing the TU (as a heavyweight, right!!?) but you plan on doing any other shows before?

Man it feels so good to be done!!!! I was going to compete in the Natural Olympia in the ABA, but had a falling out with them so I decided not too. They didnt fufill ther promise to the winner or winners of the show.oh well.

Yup, I am coming in as a heavy weight next year. In my opinion they neeb to add a superheavy weight class next year, doubt they will do it.

As for any shows before that probably not, depending on if they are sending a team to the World Championships next year which I doubt since it will be in Bahrain then I Might jump into the USA's, well see.

      What about you?

      • JRod,

I know that you are a fan of using Glutamine. Does it matter if Glutamine is taken with a meal or on an empty stomach?

        Thanks for your help.

Thats too bad about the Natural Olympia; I think you would have done well. On the bright side, you're done!

I might consider doing a show after the TU, but my focus will be on next year's TU. I'm really looking forward to finally moving up to the light-heavy class.

            No problem.

I take glutamine only around workout times: before and after, with my dextrose and whey.

            • JROD, just saw your posing video. Insane conditioning, you really dialed in man, great work!

J, I know in your leg workout you said to squat inside your legs but if you want more outer sweep do you suggest closing the stance or do you think squating one way will do it? Can't wait for your tricep workout on MDTV, keep up the good work.

If you don't mind me asking, what happened in ABA. If you don't feel comfortable posting, then you may PM me.

Thanks, Deerod. I squat this way because it's most comfortable for me (and I handle more weight!). I used to squat with my legs really close, actually, but started getting patellar tendonitis a lot. I switched to a bit of a wider stance and my knee/s are fine. Also, I think squatting the way I do will hit everything anyways. I would always suggest doing things in the way they feel most comfortable.

Like Jerry said, I actually trained legs (quads and hamstrings) in this second in the trenches. This will give you guys a better idea of my "real" training, as the other in the trenches was shot right after the TU; meaning I didn't train hard/intensely like I normaly due. I usually don't train that soon after a show if I don't have to and didn't want to get injured, so i took it REALLY easy. MD was aware of this, but wanted to shoot that more for the interview/voice-over and the information about my diet/training than to actually show off my training. This last, second, Leg training in the trenches was real, good, hard, intense off-season training. You'll see soon...

Bill mentioned that he'd like to do more with me, so we'll probably get together again (in a few months) to do some other parts.

Nope. If it were simply a matter of putting it up online, I'm sure it would be up by now. Problem is, before it gets posted, I have to do the voice-over with Dave. I haven't spoken to Dave or Bill about it since we shot it. I'm sure they're busy with nationals right now, so hopefully sometime after that.

                            Good luck dude!!

Great, glad its been helpful. I hope you'll enjoy this next in the trenches. Though it's the same day/part, I think you'll notice the difference. Off-season training (for me at least) is more fun to watch. Now if I could just get the voice over done....

Oh by the way, if you're after more glute development, give bulgarian split squats, split squats, or lunges a try. I prefer the former two. Also, as far as squats go, I believe that its when you go past parallel that you really recruit the glutes.
