I just finished watching your In The Trenches vids Jeff, they were great. Very informative. Good luck with the 08 TU!!
These were your #s about a year ago from the first page...
Bench: ~315
Squat: ~375
Triceps extensions: ~160
Barbell curls: ~165
Stiff-legged deadlifts: ~415
Barbell Rows: ~335
What kind of strength increases have you made in the past year?
Typically how long do your wo's last (I'm not sure if you have answered this before)?
Also, what are you currently up to career wise? Utilizing your BS in math??
I have recently changed my training to more of a max-ot approach. 1-3 work sets, 4-8 reps, and I have been happy with the results thus far.
Thanks for all your input in this thread, I have found it to be very helpful.

Jeff,
When I ran into your blog a few weeks ago, I was blown away by the size you'd added to your upper body.
Particularly, your back looks significantly wider. I'm always looking for a thicker and wider back... What would you say has been key to this progress?

My workouts last about an hour.
Career wise, I am working as a sales rep (nothing to do with math; but i did need a degree to get the job).
No problem! Glad the thread has been helpful.Jeff Rodriguez

Not by much, but I think I focused a bit more on width exercises (pull ups and pull downs) as opposed to thickness exercises (rows) this year.Jeff Rodriguez

I know that might not be such an exciting answer (would have been nice if I said do XXXXXXX and you'll get a wider back), but I don't think its one thing in particular I did this year I haven't done before. I think its just a matter of time and all the years of training back.

I asked because it seemed your back became significantly wider, so I wondered if you had discovered something that worked better for you. However, I realize now you probably make the same noticeable changes year after year mainly due to your dedication!

Jeff,
I know high intensity is relative and different for everyone...but was just curious as to what your cardio session looked like as far as speeds/strides/etc go.
What speed/incline did you use on treadmill?
What resistance/incline did you use on elliptical and approx how many strides per minute?
What resistance did you use on bike and approx how many strides per minute?
Also, how long were your rest periods between each cardio "set"?
Sorry for all the questions, just curious lol

Different brands are usually not the same, but here's what I did:
What speed/incline did you use on treadmill? Started at 8.2 then moved it up to 9 for speed. Incline was 0, I think. I didn't change that setting.
What resistance/incline did you use on elliptical and approx how many strides per minute? Don't remember strides/min, but I used level 16-17
What resistance did you use on bike and approx how many strides per minute? Strides/min was above 100 most of the time and at level 16
Also, how long were your rest periods between each cardio "set"?
Rested about 2 minutes between "sets"
Sorry for all the questions
Don't be; thats what this thread is for!, just curious lolJeff Rodriguez
