  • How do you perform your CGBPs? I am somewhat confused on those as I see them performed differently. Do you go all the way down to touch your chest or (as I see some people do it) about 2/3 of the way down?

Also, on DB incline's and flat do you do it conventionally? Or do you do it with the rotating wrists, etc. (i.e. somewhat of a fly at the bottom and rotate to bring them together normally at top)? Hopefully, that wasn't too confusing, lol.

    Finally, a new trenches vid.

      • Hey Jeff, looking awesome and thicker man! I like what you said about if you're not ready at that point, you won't be ready on the real day.

I also noticed your egg whites, they didn't look plain. Was is the lighting, or do you add stuff for taste? Trying to find ways to make my egg whites taste less bland.

I only spoke to him very briefly, but he said he was taking some time to train and would do a pro show in the future. I had never seen him in person before that and was surprised at how thick he was. He was also in pretty good shape for offseason.

For CGBP: Go down to a comfortable level. If going down all the way is comfortable, then do that; otherwise, go as far down as is comfortable on your wrists (this is usually the limiting factor). Also, do not take TOO close of a grip, as I have found that it hurts after a while. I use a grip so that my forearms are almost (very slightly bent in) perpendicular to the floor like this I___I Where the "I" is my forearm, and the "___" is my body. I also focus on keeping my elbows in while pressing. Actually, I really like doing these on a decline bench. Try them on the decline to see if you like them; you'll really feel it if you're working your triceps.

For DB inclines: I got you. I used to do them rotating; did them like that for a few years (maybe 3-4). Then there was a point where my shoulder was a bit irritated (not from doing those, but it did affect it), so I found that keeping the DB sideways the whole time (traditional way) was more comfortable at that point. Ever since then, I haven't stopped doing them the traditional way. Honestly, it probably doesn't make much of a difference. Just make sure you use a good, full range of motion and you should be fine either way.

                  Thanks.

Yeah, I put concious effort into controlling the negative. This keeps me using good form and using a weight which I can handle with good form; keeps me from getting out of hand!

No, it was not the lighting, it was mustard. Also, I usually use regular egg whites, but that day, I didnt want to make a mess with a bunch of egg shells (wasn't home) so I used a few cartons of liquid egg whites. Its really the mustard you're seeing, though. My everyday egg white seasoning throughout this prep (which probably sounds weird and/or gross; cause thats what people at work always say) is a bunch of mustard and garlic salt!

Hahaha, there wasn't much "all" in that all out, but being 2 weeks out, it was all I had for the day.

Good luck in the Team U Jeff! I see the blog says egg whites and vegetables for some meals. Are the vegies mixed in with the egg whites/mustard/garlic salt? If so which vegetables do you use?
