"pretty impressive lifts for using only peptides ,,little slin post session,,ae/ai and couple orals,,one of the stronger naturals id say

for true natural his weight would be somewhere at 195lb off and 165lb on stage,,still impressive lifts!"

this person claims to be 'undercover' in the industry. thought u would like to know.

      Sam,

I train at 5:30 AM, I actually have a shake with carbs and some protein a 3:30 AM, then go back to bed. This has worked well for me and I have had better workouts since doing so.

        • Hey Layne, I just started college and I usually train after breakfast, which I now eat at the dining hall. My question is do you think that it would be bad to eat a plain bagel with my breakfast, which also contains protein and fats(eggs), or would that be okay.

            • Hey Layne,

For an endo/meso type, what are your thoughts on post workout carbs while cutting, like dextrose and WMS? Or should one keep blood sugar low and just have food after?

I dont know when your putting your dvd out but this may work,

LOL. At least it means he must think I have a decent physique if he thinks i'm cheating. Personally if I took juice and still looked like this I'd be pissed. I find it funny when people think i'm on steroids; if you go back and look at my progression, i've never put on more than 10-15 lbs in a year... ever. I just make consistent progress and work my ass off. Most people don't like hearing that though. Oh well, I'm not going to waste my time trying to convince some idiot I don't use steroids. I know I don't, my family knows I don't, my close friends know I don't... I could give a damn about what anyone else thinks honestly.

                    haha... like that title lol

I think a small amount of simple carbs post workout is fine 15-25g, and then get the rest from whole foods

in a backhanded way yes. I really don't put much stock in any of that negative stuff. 2-3 years ago it bothered me. Now I think it's funny because I realize why people do it. What do I have to be upset about? I got my pro card before age 25; getting paid to go to grad school, studying what I love, got a great family, and an unbelievable future wife.

I got nothing to complain about, shit like I just dust off my shoulders

                        • Lenny is living the good life

But seriously, Layne is a prime example of how hard work and persistence in all fields of life can lead to awesomeness, happiness, and success, even at a relatively early age. The guy has unbelievable work ethic everywhere, finds time for his lady (whipped cream? ), still manages to help out people on boards for free, as well as clients, and is an all round great guy and a great friend to have.

Myself and some of his other clients I know also say the same thing - Layne is an inspirational role model on how to live life, not just an awesome bodybuilding coach. Bet you never saw all this coming when you were getting picked on in high school, eh buddy?

exactly. combine the fact you are studying probably gets them jealous too.

                            I have another question now:

have u read the 'high intensity training the mike mentzer way' book? i think its fantastic and very convincing, ur opinion on it (if u havent read it, i suggest u get it right away, even if u dont agree, the concepts will give a great perspective).

also what do u believe would happen to your physique, if you did a little less volume and threw in more rest days?

                            • oh and one more thing,

what do u think the result of low rep/low volume training on legs would be in regards to size:

eg Just a single superset of Leg extension (10 seconds per rep which includes a 2 second static hold) and Hack Squat (8 seconds per rep) , (6 reps on the extensions and 6-8 reps on the squats both exercises to failure), followed by static contraction on leg extension for ten seconds, and if feeling up to it some slow 10 second negative reps on hack squats.

This is what I am doing currently once every ten days.
