      • Hey Layne, I was looking over your articles from bodybuilding.com and when I saw your stats it said Waist: 35". That can't be right, can it. I mean definitely not when you're in contest shape at least.

            • Leg Training & Cardio

Layne, What are your thoughts on how to arrange cardio and leg training? Will cardio be a detriment to growth and recovery in the days following a leg workout? I sometimes feel a light cardio session the day after a hard leg day flushes the muscles and helps alleviate soreness, but I do not want to hinder the recovery process. Thanks for the great info you provide, we all appreciate the time you take responding on this board.

              • Layne:

Can red meats cause insulin release? i.e. is this protein one known to stimulate the release of insulin like say whey protein does?

Ever since I switched my cardio sessions to the day after my leg sessions (2x per week), I've noticed a pronounced difference in soreness (much less sore). Even with H.I.I.T.

any amino acids will cause some insulin release. It's not a bad thing. It's not like you release a little insulin and all the sudden all fat burning shuts down... it just doesn't work like that

taking green tea extract , how many mg would you recomend , 2 pills contain 630mg of green tea extract. using it for overall health.

2nd question , i know you count everything you eat , do you have a nutrition notebook and keep track of everything you eat , or do you basically keep adding how much you ate in the day in your head to get a brief overall idea? just curious how you keep track.this is reguarding mostly offseason eating
