  • Pushing cars!

    Layne,

Did your car pushing HIIT this morning, loved it!! Felt memories of pushing the sled in football, plus made me think I was one of those crazy strongmen who pull firetrucks, lift boulders, etc!

I drove to a big parking lot with my bike on back, rode my bike around for 5 minutes to warm up, then did pushed the car for about 20 seconds each, taking probably 45 seconds rest between. Jogged lightly afterwards for a cool down.

    Thanks for the idea!!

ha! most bodybuilders consider that 'cheating' as well, but these are the guys that eat totally strict all the time, never go out to eat, but then invariably once every week or so they binge on pizza, peanut butter, fried chicken, etc. I hit my protein/carb/fat goals everyday... regardless of what I eat. Not many can say the same

so do you believe as long as your hitting your macros you can pretty much eat whatever u want?

yea i did the whole food/training jounarl and it basically took the fun out of lifting , and most importantly it was all about the book instead of how my body was feel and reacting to my stimulus and nutrition. glad to know its not a must.

                • if you want health effects i'd take 3-5/day

I put a premium on hitting my macros but that doesn't mean I eat pizza, etc everyday. Normally I eat like the typical bodybuilder for the most part; but I don't kill myself if I have a slice of pizza here or there because I NEVER binge which is far far far more damaging

                  • Interesting tangent you have going on here Layne. I've also just picked up your article on Bodybuilding.com and so far I can't see anything i disagree with..

i'm just wondering though, without you really knowing what my protein and amino intakes are like, what you can tell me about the polyphenol Ethyl acetate spectrums i'm shooting for.
I use dry red wine at the moment ( cab sauv )and I have done enratio to both of those two things ( proteins and aminos) for years without really too much trouble...
butt, that being said, I dont really lovve that it needs to be alcohol or have so much sugar ( for the comparitively small functional percentage that that makes up), so if i could find a cost effective extract that would make up the matrixs, I would be pretty stoked to be able to switch.
I am reeeally low on grainy complex carbs 97% of the time and I consume anywhere up to 4 gms protein / kg of bw, so i really rely on that wine to help catabolise and destabilse my proteins and lymphyocytes to keep a potent and clean fuel supply.
I'm dense enough but it gets pretty hard for me to really put on any weight. I do plan to trade some protein for aminos and do a bulking formular ( in 3 and 4 week cycles either side changing workout regimes) where any grains in the formular are only in there at less tightly bonded spectrums so I can add some mass really quickly. ( currently looking at XXX mass unless you have a better suggestion) . i have a liver disease so i can't eat more than 10-12 gms most of the time otherwise. I dont expect to have any trouble but to get rid of the alcohol would be sweet mercy here . not always so pretty but whaddya do?? .. I can't afford to comprimise .
I dont really have a masssive amount of information about exactly what I'm looking for at this point on a more simple formular in lieu of the wine though. Can you offer me anything on those terms??
I Really hope that's not too overly complicated.
i dont really get or even ask for help about stuff like this very often so anything you have for me, i would definately appreciate hearing.
                    thanks in advance.

                    • Layne,

I was wondering if you have any idea of why Vanadyl gives me a bad headache even when taken with plenty of carbs?

Also do you think it could possible pull more creatine into the muscle?

                      Thx
