Why do you take Citrulline Malate ? The only thing Ive seen it talked about online is for NO2 (which doesnt really have any solid sciecne behind it). Can you name other reasons why this would be a good supplement beyond that?

BCAA, Beta-Alaine, Creatine Mono but where does Citrulline Malate place in this stack?

    • Layne.....its odd....I am vacillating back and forth with going forth with the WNBF or moving on to the IFPA. I do agree that when someone is in a magazine, that they should get some sort of compensation for it. Then again, I dont think the IFBB guys get anything for article....or do they? I dont have many years of competition left....and I know that the WNBF has a masters division....does the IFPA?

it's not even the compensation that bothers me. It's the fact that they don't compensate you but also don't allow you to appear in other magazines! So basically you are VERY limited to a small population for exposure... this is why no one knows about natural bodybuilding. The IFBB may have been started by weider... but weider did not punish people or suspend them for appearing in MD or planet muscle, or ironman, or musclemag... etc. It's absolute nonsense.

Let's just say muscle & fitness wanted to run a feature story on you (let's say you had some background story they wanted to talk about). Can you imagine the exposure for you and natural bodybuilding? Can you imagine how many people this would direct to your site? Can you imagine how much it would increase your personal training/gym business (in the case of dave, he owns a gym). Now imagining doing everything RIGHT, and asking written consent to appear in this one article by the wnbf... and having them DENY YOU. How could they possibly do that. They are taking money out of your pocket. I'm sorry, I will never support that organization... and especially after what they pulled with me a few months ago, I hope they go belly up and the WNBF pros can go to an organization that treats them how they deserve to be treated.

The IFPA does not have a masters show yet... but i anticipate it will happen as it grows

there is quite a bit of evidence that citrulline enhances fatigue resistance

              • Layne,
When performing front squats where do you put the bar? I've watched your vids on it several times, but the bar placement is never really clear.
I did them for the first time last night and just bruised the snot out of my shoulders. You but the bar where it's about or touching your throat?
                Thanks

                  • I know u don't like L-Glutamine as improving Protein SNythsis or being anti-cataolic. But I'm curious have your feelings taken any consideration to it as a gylcogen resnythsis agent PWO? Some seem to use it as substitute other than carbs for those with higher body fat %.

                      Got ya. Thanks.
Yeah I think i was just a bit off on my placement.
Do you find that when you go deep on this movement it really engages your glutes and hamstrings? I sure did. Just differently than regular squats did.
                      Thank you for the input.

                      • that's a possibility; i would like to see it compared to glucose in terms of how much energy it takes and how effective the glycogen resynthesis is

Author L Rea is a big believer/proponent of this. Not really sure of his exact protocol though.

I have a few female clients who used glutamine as their primary source of glycogen replenishment during this prep and they are much leaner and more muscular than last year

Very interesting. How much glutamine do your female client use?
