      • gatorade

        hey Layne,
        question about gatorade
I've been mixing my post workout shake with it
but it seem like they have changed their formula
now the sugar has changed from dextrose to fructose
        should I stop using it?
I have about 10 bottles left but after I finish those should I switch to dextrose powder?
or does it matter since I don't compete just dropping bodyfat and trying to maintain muscle mass?
        thanks

        • Dextrose is actually probably a lot cheaper than buying the gatorade mix anyway. Id make the switch. Fructose mainly replenishes liver glycogen.

As well as blood sugar which is why diabetics are directed to eat fruit immediately if they are hypo due to excess insulin use.

What cereal do you eat and how soon pre workout do you consume it?

                • Layne I quick question from Holland

What do you think about work out mix like this. I starting to do this.. For example back, traps, rear delts day I do this
                  Deadlifts 5working sets 3reps
                  chin ups 5working sets 8reps
                  dumbel rows 5working sets 12reps
pull overs 3 working sets 12reps
dumbel rear delts raises 5working sets 12reps
                  barbel shrugs 5working sets 8reps

My idea is to mixed up heavy weights with moderate weights and high reps to gain strenghts and mass. What do you think about this?
                  thanks Daniel

                      • Layne,
My name is Terrence. I sent you my story via email a week ago. I want to remain natural. I'm new to modern supplements. People have been suggesting I need to use steroids to get big. Thanks to you, Skip La Cour & chris Faldo I know that's not true. I'll never ever use gear!
So now people are suggesting pro-hormones, specifically Finigenx Magnum by Pharmagenx & SUS500 by Genetic Edge Technologies. Would these be considered wrong for a natural body builder to use? If so, what alternatives would you suggest? Thanks for you time!

                        -Terrence

As long as you are still in a calorie deficit it really shouldnt make all that much of a difference. When I dieted to sub 7% I was eating popcorn, chipotle, and subway and I still lost every week. Just need to factor it in for the day and there shouldnt be too much of a problem with it. I will admit the chipotle really didnt fit all that well but eating it once a week kept me sane and didnt hinder my progress.
