Now putting this info into practice, I have been doing all bodyparts twice a week, once in the 3-5 rep range, and once in the 8-10 range with a few "pump" sets to finish (15+). Even though I'm not hitting all the rep ranges in one workout, is this still an effective way to go about training?
i think that is fine yes

                  • Meal frequency & BCAA's

                    Layne,

Reduced my meal frequency down from 6 to 5 (eating every 3-4 hours) and included the BCAA's in between (Xtend). Started yesterday and today had an awesome workout!! As an added bonus, I seem to have more energy and alertness throughout the day, which is a welcomed result too! Looking forward to giving this a go!

                    • I'm not Layne, but I hve really seen a beneift from taking in BCAA's between meals. I noticed hunger control, increased vascularity, increased muscle fullness.

                      • layne do you think it would be ok to do a split like you suggest but instead of taking a day off after the 2 heavy days to go straight back to lifting like

                        monday-upper heavy
                        tuesday-lower heavy
                        wednesday-chest/back volume
                        thursday-shoulders/arms volume
                        friday-legs volume
                        saturday-off
                        sunday-off
