Lane actually has a life outside bbing as a scientist ( a real one, not a pseudo wanna be type that hangs out on most forums...) and probably has no interest in putting that at risk. Not everyone takes pride in being a felon, shocking as that may come to some in the bbing community...

Back in the day, when AAS was cheap, legal (or at least had essentially no penalties for their use), and real, I would say "go for it" but these days, the risk to benefit is simply not there for the vast majority of users.

That does not include those in other countries with different laws with and an uncle who wants to write scripts and keep an eye on your health or those on HRT....

                  • Awesome Deads Layne! It's crazy you can do all that weight with no straps. I feel like I never see anyone, even IFBB pros do that kind of weight without straps.

                    Anyway to my question...

I've been doing front squats this year, and they've been working pretty well. I don't get a pump in my glutes like i used to with back squats lol. I used to walk around the gym looking like J Lo I swear. But I also want to start incorporating a set or two of heavy back squats, that's why I came to you for advice before I started

My question today is about back squats. I've watching one of your videos, and you discussed how some people don't have a good structure for back squats. What kind of structure would this apply to? I used to back squat every week last year, and I moved up progressively in weights week after week, my form was good etc. But just like you, I felt like my glutes and hips were growing a lot faster than my quads were. Is there anyway, in respect to form that I can do back squats to put more emphesis on my quads?

usually people with longer legs and that are more hamstring dominant aren't as good as squatting as people who have short legs, short torso and are quad dominant

I was thinking the same thing, that grip strength is amazing. Then I noticed Layne was using overhand grip and not your standard over/under. CRAZY!

Ok, I'm getting this now. Now what about the amount of protein per meal? I usually take from 30-50 grams. Should I take 100grams per protien meal and can I absorb most of that. I still hear of the "no more than 35-40 grams is all you can absorb at one sitting" rule. Is that rule totally bogus?
