    • Excellent squats, Layne.

Quick question: When your upper back appears to round a bit as you come out of the hole, is this something you do intentionally, for example, to keep your lower back straight?

      • i don't do it intentionally but as you said, I had people watch me and they said I maintain my lower back arch but my upper back does round. I don't do it intentionally but I don't think it's placing my low back at risk; but i'm still working on trying to keep it more straight since I'd rather not chance it

I'm the same. It comes down to your bodily proportions, I think.

                • layne i read you article/study on Protein synthesis, and i was wondering if it would be beneficial when cutting to eat more meals say 5-6 as oppose to 3-4?

ha thats what i was thinking, no way i would squat without a spotter. I guess you can chuck the weight since he is in a good rack, but still.

I still think similar mechanisms apply. i personally have 6 meals per day (one is in the middle of the night)
