I was wondering if you could look at this link and tell me when you think I should start my diet. http://forums.musculardevelopment.co...ead.php?t=7900. I would like to start it as soon as possible, do you think that 20 weeks out would be too soon to start Dave's diet. Thanks.
IMO it's never too soon. The absolute best i've ever gotten a client in condition was when i had him ready 6 weeks out and starting adding calories and carbs back in and he filled out and get even leaner in those six weeks. Just absurdly shredded & full

I think there is actually less difference than people think. Steroids just add another gear to shift into.

        • Layne I got a problem with caffeine, I used in the past (the past week) hydroxycut hardcore, and everything was right on track but now the stuff is over and I don't drink caffeine by any means (I don't drink coffee nor soda)
The Problem is that I feel drowzy all day long with a very potent headache, I don't take painkillers so I endure the shit all day long. The headache I can take the problem is the drowziness, I'm really sleepy sometimes I sit on a couch or lie on the floor and fall asleep without even noticing it.
It really puts me down in the gym but I can take it, can you recommend me anything to knock away this caffeine dependance of mine? please?

          • I'm not Layne, but it's definitely a side effect from the Hydroxy Cut. Or should I say caffeine. How many are you taking at a time? You may want to try and cut the dose way back, and work your way up if needed. What you get is a not so uncommon side effect from caffeine over stimulating your CNS. Some call it the 'crash'. If you still have those symptoms perhaps try a non stim fat burner.

                          • Hey Layne Gratz on the Web Page looking good. I was wondering what your views on spot reducing were? like i read in the june Muscle and fitness it is a 6 week program. its 10 reps per exercise with 10 to 15 seconds inbetween sets

                            Week 1
                            reverse crunch
                            crunch
                            oblique crunch
                            rope crunch
                            for 15 min

                            week 2
adds Hanging knee rasies after the rope crunch
and adds 5 min for a total of 20 min

                            week 3 & 4
adds cross body crunchs after obliques
and adds 5 min for a total of 25 min

                            week 5 & 6
adds double crunchs after the obliques
and adds 5 min for a total of 30 min

                            • Hey Layne,

Ive been natural now for 6 months, not by choice lol, but still a blessing a in disguise, anyhow. heres the deal, when i got off the gear i was 229 now im 226lbs 5'10 6months later,

im at either 10-11% i see vague abs so not sure, but my questions are. Do you really need that much protien i take in about 180g now and i feel that i do fine on it.

Also does my diet have to be very clean? given my financial circumstance, i really cant afford what i need, so ive been finding my self eating more fried foods, fatty foods. but the thing is that if i know my caloric intake would be lower that day cause of the fried foods i had so that compensates for it... in my world anyway lol.

Quite frankly if im not having high calorie, high fat foods i feel week.. and crazily enough, i tend to lose my definition, which kinda has be baffled.

I don't plan on using gear again for another month or two, and i wanted to maximize my natural level of test before i hit it

ps i have a fast metabolism, before i was started to work out i was one of those kids u wat skinny cut so my being 225 is a miricale considering i started at 135!

                              • I think your protein is probably fine for now. Honestly your diet isn't optimal but so long as you aren't overeating calories you are probably ok IMO.

Ravia, it appears spot reducing may indeed be possible, however IMO possibly the best way to do it would be do some abs first to get lipolysis going in that area & your abdominal fat releasing free fatty acids and then do some cardio after that in order to increase the oxidation of those free fatty acids so they are not re-stored.
