LOL..impressive, shit, I think him and Ronnie are hiding out in some remote parking lot in TX, doing some barbell lunges in 120 degree heat together.

Hey Layne, any truth to the rumors that you and Ronnie eat at the Black Eyed Pea every night after legs?

*sidenote...I always wanted to segue Layne and Ronnie...LMAO, I so rock!

Not really. First pre & post workout nutrition helps mitigate it. Secondly, cortisol studies showing increases after 45 minutes of exercise are done in endurance athletes. There is a big difference between endurance exercise where you are going non-stop wheras weight lifting is short periods of work with long periods (relatively) of rest. Additionally cortisol is a long term acting hormone. short rises in cortisol really don't cause catabolism. Hell cortisol has been shown to rise after workouts... but we know that workouts make you grow. It is long term elevations in cortisol from stress that can be catabolic.

Troy you are right on point there. Layne mentions Justin (cause he's a freak), but what is Justin's off season weight. 260 or so? Layne at a whopping 220 somthing now (damn I wish I was there) is a beast. I've never seen a guy his height and weight crush weights he does on a regular basis.
Enough of my shoompy shoompy crap. 190 here I come

Congrats on that one! Not only all time high, but 11%! Definitely post some prgression pics during the 7 week prep.
I'm 181 (all time high) at 12%. Long time coming there. Was 175 for I don't know how long. Takes a long time to get the body to figure out that it's not an endurance athlete anymore.

                        • Yeah after more than a dozen years of distance running (I was up to 90 miles a week at one point) it really whittles down the muscle mass. I also think that it has taken about a year for my body to figure out that it's not supposed to operate like that during weight training. Only within the last 6-7 weeks has there come this 'transformation' of sorts where I'm actually keeping muscle on instead of burning it like a locomotive. Legs are still lagging behind, but I keep on giving them pep talks lol

Congrats on getting married...Yea, we got married under the radar on X-mass Eve this year in Kansas. A night theme, really cool and probably the smartest thing I have ever done...LMAO. Lord knows in 42 years, I have done some crazy shit!

Bro...you will find being married has something cool about it. I enjoy the steadyness of it. I used to be scared but found it what I always wanted. There is just something different waking up and looking at your hand with a ring on it the next day...lol.

I wish you two the best and most enjoyable time as you young'ns move into the next phase of your lives. Plan on making any baby-Bio's?

I love Miami (Miami Golds) is awesome. Really hardcore feel with good machines and the best part, you can scream and feel at home.. The city is latin, so it has that flair and it is always warm, so never no pants...you lived in FL (west coast..no?)
