I felt like shit when I used to eat red meats, have been vegetarian for a while now. I like chickpeas in a good, homemade curry as well. They are low in saturated fat and very low in cholesterol and sodium. As well as protein, they're also a good source of fibre, copper, folate and are good clean carbs (low glycemic load).
I love salmon but I went with beef as my choice.

It was between those two options or dead people I run over but they have been few and far between lately.

    • I just bought some ground buffalo. Never used it before. Looks like ground beef almost. Anyone tried it before? How is it?

                          • Been using vegan protein powder for the last few months, definately nice and easy on the stomach so digestion is obviously really good. I can definately recommend the Sunwarrior stuff for anyone that wants to try an alternative to whey
