  • What...... If?! (Part 3)

Now all those Chuck jokes aside, what if u could turn back father time on Chuck 20 or so years ... could Chuck Norris hand with a UFC fighter?

Now I am sure a few fighters might slaughter him but i know he can beat a fair share of fighers... like everyone says IT ONLY TAKES ONE PUNCH

Chuck was a karate fighter. End of story.

It has been repeated - AND PROVEN - ad-nauseum that if karate were really applicable against a trained fighter, everyone in MMA would be using it. No one would need to go through torterous training in wrestling, BJJ, and Muy Thai. Plus all that money on separate coaches. All they would need is a karate instructor.

But they are not. Sorry, UG

Do not listen to him, UKG.

I am still waiting for him to choose an opponent for me so that I can prove that traditional martial arts are effective, PROVIDED YOU LEARN HOW TO USE THEM... that is the key.

Because I still say anyone that rushes in on me does not get wrestled, but gets all sorts of nerves "touched".

I thought I was gonna be the guinea pig?

Ok, now YOU are something different, Brandon. You know more than one technique and style. Norris did not.

But as good as I KNOW you are (cause I studied kung fu too) I also don;t see mantis or snake or tiger or 5 animal in the Octagon. And no one is bothering to learn it either.

                  You guys must not understand.

I would stake my life on my training.

Hell... if I have to choose a way to die, I would say by the hand of another, because only then would I know that my martial art and my belief is inferior. In fact, that is how I intend to leave this world. One day... there will be someone who I have to face, and that day will be my day. It may very well be just some guy I am trying to save someone else from, but that is how strongly I feel about it. Granted, the landscape of the fight has changed... it is not so cut-and-dry like back several centuries ago... but what applied then, still applies now. The human body has not changed at all.

I would not have spent so many years training just for show. Hell no.

If White would let me in, even for just an exhibition fight, I would take it, to restore credibility to traditional martial art technique.

If I lost, I would fade away from all existence. I would even give up my training, and forsake Shaolin.

                    How is that for conviction?

But then, also remember, I have trained in Muay Thai, and Western Boxing, and a little Jiujitsu... no doubt, those would be mixed in, but only as they influence my Shaolin skills.

After High School Chuck was recruited by Cal Poly University at San Luis Obispo for their Division I/Pacific 10 conference wrestling team, where he functioned as a four-year starter, eventually earning a California State Freestyle Championship. Through it all the guy who would one day be known as ‘The Iceman’ continued to train--and earn--a black belt in Karate.
