  • Help with Metal Playlist

One of the things I noticed that I missed about working out when I played ball was the alternating days of music. We had hip hop one day, and heavy metal the next day, so on and so on.
I get the same thing at Metroflex, but I'm usually at Golds. So I need to switch up, getting a lil burned out on Hip-Hop. So recommend some tracks that you listen too. Not really into the real dark
demonic shit. I like Metallica if that helps, but I don't have much else.
    Real men deadlift.

Awesome gym album! That's on my playlist along with MachineHead's "Unto The Locust".

You might like As I Lay Dyings CD "Shadows are Security"

I recommend getting your hands on Warbringer's CD "Waking into Nightmares" we've let that whole cd play through our gym speakers before it kills

Just bought their new House of Gold CD yesterday, listened to a couple of tracks. Sound great

I bought a couple of Mastodon albums as well, interesting to say the least. Pretty amazing drumming!

Aparrently MachineHead's 2007 album "The Blackening" got voted the best metal album of the decade.

I've only listened to it once so far so the tracks haven't really sunk in yet, but on first listen is does seem a fair bit heavier than "Unto The Locust". Definately has some Pantera influence and some of the guitar work tips its' hat off to Dimebag Darrell.

HATEBREED - I Love this band to train heavy too.
ALL THAT REMAINS - their newer stuff is more melodic, less screaming. I like melody with my vocals
                        GODSMACK - newer stuff again
                        KILLSWITCH ENGAGE - newer stuff
KINGDOM OF SORROW - if you like Hatebreed you will like these guys, same singer
SLIPKNOT - songs like Psychosocial, Dead Memories, Snuff, This Cold Black etc
STONE SOUR - awesome new CD out now
THROWDOWN - in the same vein as PANTERA
                        and of course PANTERA
