  • Radio and the start to your day...

I always try to start the tday out with some good tunes. It's easy at home. I open my computer, turn on iTunes and hit shuffle. I've got almost 3,000 songs on there that I like. Now...getting into teh car is a different story.

I think it helps to define my day by the songs I hear in teh morning. Whenever I turn the radio on and hear a gem that I really love, it fires me up ! Gets me in a great mood.

However, there are days like today when I search teh stations and find nothing good..........the crap that I had to endure on teh way to school had me doing this to my car steering wheel .

How does what you hear on the radio help you to start your day?

I have gotten so accustomed to satellite stations and my Mp3 and disk changer here at home that I have no tolerance for changing stations and I hate 'talk-radio' with a passion. Especially in the morning.

I can hook up my Mp3 player to my truck radio...so I bring my player along now. That way I'm choosing what I listen to on the road. Keeps me a happier camper to rock along with my choices.

I usually do teh same, with my iPod or a CD, but sometimes I like to listen to the radio because you hear a nugget that you do'nt own or you haven't heard ina while and it just gets me in a great mood. Today though it was pouring down rain and I heard onlyl garbage on the radio....kinda sucked!

I'm apt to listen to the classic rock stations mid-day or so for inspiration. If I'm looking for something new I cruise through the satellite stations for a bit.

Yeah, even the bland radio stations will play at least one good song. I don't really listen to the radio, but every blue moon or so I'll turn it on to see if there's anything new. The last time I did that though was a good 3 years ago...

Same goes with record stores. Rarely visit those too, but just to kill time I went to one last week, and happened to run across a new album by The Kings of Leon. Fantastic album, the singer reminds me a lot of Otis Redding.

I find most radio stations are rotten to the core. MP3s all the way for me.

We can all agree on that I hope, but I still have faith in hearing a few lost treasures every now and then.

Today I got in my truck, cycled through the stations I normally go through and heard nothing I went back in and got my Bob Dylan - Basement Tapes CD and listened to some good tunes .
